Feeding Made Simple - Flipbook - Page 12
My name is Krystal Duhaney, and throughout this
guide, I will be supporting Dr. Max with additional
notes and practical recommendations to help you
navigate each step with con昀椀dence.
I am a Registered Nurse, an International Board
Certi昀椀ed Lactation Consultant, and the founder
of Milky Mama—a breastfeeding support brand
I created after seeing how much families need
guidance they can truly trust. In my years working
with new parents, I have sat with moms at 2 a.m.
who felt they were failing, when in reality, they just
needed the right information and someone in their
corner. That is what this guide is about.
If there is one thing I want every parent to take away,
it is this: feeding your baby is a skill, and skills take
time to develop for both of you. A few things I always
share are worth repeating here. Fed is best, and how
you feed your baby matters far less than the love
and attention you bring to each feeding. Flow rate
is one of the most overlooked variables in infant
feeding, and getting it right can change everything.
Trust your instincts, pay attention to your baby’s
cues, and do not be afraid to make adjustments.
And 昀椀nally, you do not have to 昀椀gure this out alone—
support is out there, and it is worth seeking.
