Why Flow Rate
Matters
“I once had a 2-month-old baby finishing a 4-oz bottle in
under five minutes, but then spitting up most of the milk.
The parents thought the baby had reflux and wanted to
see a pediatric gastroenterologist. Turns out they were
using a number 4 Flow and just needed to change to a
smaller nipple size.”
Flow rate can make or break a
feeding experience.

the most frequent things I see in
practice as well.”
